REVIEW: Inferno by: Dan Brown

Robert Langdon is at it again, following a trail influenced by Dante’s famous work, The Divine Comedy, set by yet another antagonist. However, his journey begins halfway through his investigations, unbeknownst to our protagonist, for Professor Langdon finds himself at the beginning of the novel with a case of amnesia. Running from governments while retracing his steps and towards the threat of a deadly disease, Langdon and his unintentional companion Dr. Sienna Brooks, find themselves trapped in one man’s elaborate scheme to ‘fix the world’.

Brown seems to have learned his lesson from his last novel, The Last Symbol, that less is certainly more. Brown uses effective, concise language this time around, resulting in a more enjoyable book. He shows the same signature plot twists, but made better by his developed writing style. And it is much appreciated, as each new discovery and plot twist kept me reading at just the right pace.

Towards the end of the novel, Brown employs his typical bombardment of information and clue unlocking that flies through Langdon’s mind. Overall, the plot twists were entertaining and clever; Inferno was quite the adventurous ride. 4 out of 5 stars.

QUICK UPDATE:

So, it's a week later and I'm ALMOST done with Inferno. This week has been ridiculously hectic and nap-filled. I don't know what I'll read next, so I'll pick out of a jar. Literally, I have a jar, filled with names of book titles I haven't read.

NEW BOOKCASE

I find it funny that a big event for me is getting a new bookcase. All my books at the moment, including my dvd's are all on the floor of my room.

RE: Currently reading

As my final year in high school rapidly approaches, I find myself reading two books at the moment, of which I will post a review.
